All the last minute things that you find you have to do in the lead up to a show and someone chucks a curve ball at you!  Thanks to the help of my lovely friend Mary Jane, I have managed to get everything in order and will be leaving at the crack of dawn for the wilds of central west NSW.

However , my dear little cat deserves no thanks at all… in the midst of all this packing she thinks its a great lark to bring in her latest catch – a young rat – and let it loose in the lounge room!  Luckily both the cat and the rat were successfully ejected into the back garden.  I’m not going to imagine what took place…. Cats – they are such helpful creatures!

This is a of sample new project from Ella and Skysie I have just completed – it will be available as a special gift to customers at the CraftAlive shows this year but I thought I would post it here to celebrate friendship – thanks again, MJ.  You’re a star!

May the hinges of friendship never grow rusty!

The first Craft Alive show for the year is now over – what a great weekend we had!

It was wonderful to catch up with crafty friends I hadn’t seen for a year as well as having the chance to meet new people.  The new workshop format caught many visitors and stallholders by surprise – they were expecting food and drink to be served here! We did have bright pink ‘glasses’ of lollies on the tables for the students but that was all!

The Crafter’s Cafe gave visitors the opportunity for one on one instruction in patchwork, beading, crochet, knitting and stitchery with Elizabeth from Aussie Patches, Kerry from Beadshack, local crafty whiz Jo and myself.

Looking forward to the next Craft Alive to be held at the new venue of Catholic  College Wodonga in a few weeks time!

This weekend is the first of the Craft Alive shows for the season and it will be held in Griffith at the Yoogali Club.

As in previous years I will be conducting hands on workshops, but I have given the whole workshop programme a face lift.  No longer will I be out in the cold – you will find me in the main hall down near the stage area!

I am delighted to say I will be launching a range of preprinted stitcheries that have been commissioned especially for these shows from Ella of Ella and Skysie Designs.  These are not available from any other shops!
